Schlough, C.A. and D. H. Streeter. "Community Collaboration Among Small Business Support Organizations: Attributes of Effectiveness." May 2001
This is a study of factors that influence the effectiveness of collaboration among small business support organizations (SBSOs). Through use of focus groups, it examined the experiences and opinions of two higher functioning collaborative (HFC) groups and two lower functioning collaborative (LFC) groups in four upstate New York counties that provide services which support small business start-up and growth.

Schlough, C.A. and D. H. Streeter, " Agriculture Educator Survey"
 Needs of Farmers and Agriculture Educators for Training, Resources, and Professional

 Development" provides similar findings as an Farming Alternatives Program study conducted in 1987 at Cornell University.Ag extension educators provide their perceptions of the needs of their constituents and their own needs for resources and professional development. They are asking for training in business planning and marketing and more resources to deliver support on these topics. Extensive open-ended comments enrich the survey with qualitative information about the opinions, observations, activities, and practices of these extension staff.
